These classes will focus on the principle of Chidananda: awareness and the delight of that awareness through guided moving and curiosity of your body. We do this by orienting the current view on biomechanics - with full inclusion of all parts of the heart/mind. Neesha blends Anusara Yoga, Franklin Method, Dynamic Neurocognitive Imaging, and Non-Dual Shaiva Tantra teachings to facilitate the blissful recognition of the body. CEUs available. What to expect: - Engage muscles as you move through shapes - Hydrate your fascia - Specific teachings to engage and move with strength, to resist compensatory patterns, to get into new spaces (flexibility) - Space for self-reflection - Insight and guidance into human body function universally and space to find what is unique and personal to you - The pace is slower than a vinyasa, but more effort than yin or restorative yoga AM Class: Anusara Yoga principles- Openness, Strength and Flexibility. Foot and ankle work in standing and balancing PM Class: Koshas: the sheaths of consciousness. Continued lower body focus as we open hips and explore arm balances This workshop is a multi-layered experience of guidance, practice and learning. We will scratch the surface of the history of the word and meaning of yoga. A large majority of modern yoga looks different than the ancient practices and is known as Modern Postural Yoga (MPY). We will engage in this physical practice in tandem with some of the more historical elements such as breath and meditation. Join us for this day of cognitive and embodied learning, breath practice, meditation and fun!
